I’m a digital media, communications and public relations consultant. This is a place where I collect various thoughts and personal reflections. The picture at left is a reflection on the experience of sitting at a desk or table and working on a myriad of devices that are each related by one thing, screens. Working with the Adobe Creative Suite, editing films in Final Cut, developing web applications and assets, writing emails and blog posts, conducting market research online, these are the things I do  often, and the where of origination of the image.

In this light, thinking how one person working on one screen thinks about how another person will use the other screen on a mobile device, while they are in the process of designing, coding and editing online assets promotes a style of thinking that is in some spaces called abductive reasoning, and in others responsive design. Here the issues close at hand in designing for tablets and ‘smarter’ mobile devices. Both gadgets and screens are closely tied to the growth of mobile marketing.
